G E N E R A L C O N D I T I O N S
1. Booking and payments
Reservations: 25% of the tour fare, along with a completed and signed reservation form will reserve a place for you on Arcticvoyagers tours. The balance of the tour fare is due 60 days prior to departure. All prices are quoted in Norwegian kronor and must be paid in NOK. If proof that payment not has been made within this limit, the reservation is regarded as cancelled.
Cancellation and Refund: Notification of cancellation must be received in writing to Arctic Voyager. At the time we receive your written cancellation, the following penalties will apply:
60 days or more: deposit fee
29-69 days 55%
15-28 days 75%
0-14 days 100%
On the date of travel/no show 100%
3. Trip cancellation and Interruption Insurance:
It is strongly advised that all travellers purchase trip cancellation and interruption insurance as protection against an emergency which may force you to cancel or leave from an expedition while it is in progress
Remaining amount to be received to ArctcVoyager not later than one week before tour starts. If payment has not reached Arcticvoyager within time the AGENT/OPERATOR shall by fax confirm transfer-order signed by bank.
Payments shall be made to bank-to-bank transfer to ArcticVoyager account 4750 45 90190 Sparebank 1 Nord-Norge, Tromsø, Norway. The AGENT / OPERATOR shall cover his own banking-costs.
Arcticvoyager reserves the right to cancel all bookings if deposits / payments are not made correctly. Arcticvoyager can however, given reasonable information and explanations from AGENT / OPERATOR accept delay in individual payments. A delayed payment interest of 1,5 % per commenced month will be charged.
Arctic Voyager AS also reserves the right to change prices due to exceptional changes in costs for transports, fuel prices, taxes, fees or any other unforeseen cost incurred.
6. Medical Information
Participation on a Arctic Voyager AS program requires that you are in generally good health. It is essential that persons with any medical problems and related dietary restrictions make them known to us be-fore departure. We can counsel you on whether the expedition you have selected is appropriate for you. The tour leader has the right to disqualify any participant at any time during the tour if he feels the participant is physically incapable and/or if a participant’s continued participation will jeopardise either the individual in-volved or the group. There will be no refund given under these circumstances. By forwarding of deposit, the passenger certifies that he/she does not have any mental, physical or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for him/herself or other passengers.
7. Itinerary Cancellation
Arctic Voyager AS reserves the right to cancel an itinerary before departure for any reason whatsoever, including too few participants or logistical problems such as strikes, wars, acts of God, or any other circumstances which may make operation of the trip inadvisable. All trip payments received will be promptly refunded, and this refund will be the limit of Arctic Voyager`s liability. Arctic Voyager AS is not responsible for any expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for the trip, including non-refundable or penalty-carrying airline tickets, special clothing, visa or passport fees or other trip related expenses.
8. Limitations of Liability
This section defines Arctic Voayger’s responsibility with respect to all of our trips. Please read it carefully.
Arctic Voyager AS, its owners, agents and employees give notice that they act only as the agents for the owners, contractors and suppliers providing means of transportation and/or all other related travel services and assume no responsibility howsoever caused for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from: detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and discrepancies or changes in transit or hotel services over which it has no control. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made where deemed advisable for the comfort and well-being of the passengers.
In case of a medical problem arising during the voyage, either on board or on shore, which results in costs for evacuation, use of aircraft or repatriation, the responsibility for payment of these costs belongs solely to the passenger. Arctic Voyager requires that passengers ensure that such eventualities are covered by travel insurance. If not covered by travel insurance the responsibility still remains with the passenger and Arctic Voyager specifically decline any responsibility whatsoever
